Felice taught us all about why and how to teach our teens so they have a good understanding the creation/evolution bias in the world at large. In this workshop, she shared with us how teens can become equipped to deal with evolution taught as fact, even at some Christian colleges. Plus, she taught us what we, as parents, can do to arm our teens with knowledge and facts! She has learned so much through the years homeschooling her children. Now, she graciously agreed to come and share with our Mom-to-Mom group this past Tuesday night! It was an amazing workshop! EVERY homeschool mom should hear this one!
Janie shared two different workshops–blending into one great night! During the first half of the night, she shared words of encouragement to homeschool moms with special needs children (even those whose need might be spiritual…or just a hug!) along with a devotional. The second half of the night, she gave some practical ideas for helping our special children grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically. Regardless of the ages that you teach…needs that they face today…or your approach to homeschooling, you will find MUCH to take home after sitting at Janie’s feet for the evening (or during your morning walk!)!
